Dear
Friends,
Vakils
are proud to announce their association with V Care Foundation,
a Registered Trust created in Mumbai in 1994 by a group of cancer
survivors and care givers who had themselves gone through the trauma
of cancer. The objective of V Care is to impress upon patients that
cancer does not necessarily mean death, and that it is possible to
overcome the disease and lead a full life.
Vakils
started the manufacture of greeting cards over four decades ago with
a conscious decision to promote Indian Art. Works of great contemporary
Indian painters-Hebbar, Bendre, Hussain, Ara, Chavda, Sabavala, Akbar
Padamsee, Swaminathan, B. Prabha, Satish Gujral, Mansaram, Shanti
Dave, Rasik Raval, Mickey Patel, etc, etc. featured on our cards and
calendars. Paintings from renowned museums such as Victoria &
Albert-London, National Museum-New Delhi, Bharat Kala Bhavan-Banaras
and Prince of Wales Museum of Western India-Mumbai grew into a fine
collection of Indian miniatures in print. Mounted on Indian hand made
paper these became distinctive even while giving a fillip to a budding
hand made paper industry.
Vakils
have decided to support a social cause on a continuous basis. Every
card printed by us will carry the message of V-Care. Part proceeds
of the sale of cards will be used to provide medical support to underprivileged
cancer patients and We hope in some small way light up the lives of
Cancer Patients in India.
Wish
you and your family all the very best this festive season.
Yours sincerely,
Arun Mehta
(Managing Director)
